Asset Management & Maintenance Coordinator – Hybrid Opportunity in Newcastle

6-Month Contract with Potential Extension

Our client operates within the public healthcare sector, managing statewide assets and ensuring efficient servicing and maintenance schedules. Known for their structured and process-oriented approach, they are seeking a diligent professional with strong financial acumen to support critical operations.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Based in Newcastle, this position offers hybrid working arrangements (3:2 split) after completing training.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Matching invoices with purchase orders, ensuring all financial transactions are accurate and aligned.
  • Understanding maintenance and servicing requirements, including identifying additional work or components that may arise.
  • Apportioning costs appropriately and processing payments accordingly.
  • Managing statewide assets, tracking maintenance schedules, and ensuring timely servicing and repairs.
  • Coordinating purchase orders (POs) for equipment repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Using IT systems to visualise asset servicing requirements and maintain accurate records – strong IT skills essential.
  • Communicating effectively with stakeholders to ensure servicing and financial processes run smoothly.
  • Adhering to detailed processes and procedures while maintaining high attention to detail.

Work hours: 8 am-5 pm, 38-40 hours/week (flexibility available depending on the candidate).

ABOUT YOU
To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

  • Proven experience in asset management, maintenance scheduling, or similar roles within the healthcare or public service sectors.
  • Strong financial acumen, including the ability to match invoices and purchase orders, identify additional costs, and apportion them appropriately.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to proactively identify and address servicing needs.
  • Familiarity with healthcare-related assets or similar equipment is highly regarded.
  • Strong IT system skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
