Our client is an emerging end-end building solutions consultancy who are looking to expand their inspection and environmental engineering services to include a brand new geotechnical department. Their in-house team of consultants and field engineers service a well-established and continuously growing client base and the company have ambitions to establish themselves as a market leader in this field.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Within this Principal Geotechnical Engineer role you will oversee the formation and expansion of a Geotechnical Engineering team, managing the delivery and execution of Geotechnical investigations on a regional and national level. You’ll also manage the subsequent analysis and interpretation of geotechnical datasets whilst collaborating with the other divisions within the consultancy to deliver an outstanding level of service to clients

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this Principal Geotechnical Engineer role, you should have:

• A degree background in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering or a relevant discipline
• A wealth of industry experience at a Senior or Associate level
• Experience in coordinating and leading geotechnical investigations C foundation design independently
• Expert knowledge of soil mechanics & rock classification
• Direct experience in managing stakeholders and overseeing the delivery of multi- faceted projects
• Licensed/chartered engineering status advantageous
