The division you’ll be joining is focused on tax advisory, income tax assessment, and taxpayer support, working closely with internal teams to improve compliance, streamline tax processes, and provide accurate, timely advice to members of the public.

About the Role:
- Prepare and review individual income tax returns with accuracy and compliance at the forefront
- Analyse financial information – including income, deductions, offsets, and taxable components – to ensure correct tax treatment
- Prepare balance sheets, P&Ls, and supporting financial documents where required for tax assessment purposes
- Review trends, tax positions, compliance risks, and related obligations to support accurate assessment and forecasting
- Provide guidance on tax strategies, documentation requirements, and legislative obligations
About You:
You bring strong technical tax capability, solid judgement, and a commitment to accuracy. You will also have:
- 4-6 years’ experience in tax accounting or a related field
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or similar
- Strong understanding of Australian income tax legislation for individuals
- Proven experience preparing and reviewing individual tax returns
- Solid grasp of accounting principles, reporting requirements, and tax compliance frameworks
- Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and deliver high‑quality outputs in a busy environment
- Strong communication skills with the confidence to present recommendations to management
