EXECUTIVE GENERAL MANAGER – OPERATIONS & STRATEGY

ABOUT THE ORGANISATION

Our client is a growing provider in the NDIS sector, with a model built on empowering experienced operational leaders to run their own business units. With more than 12 Managing Partners currently operating across Australia, the organisation delivers high-needs disability support, child services (NSW DCJ and SSRC), and has recently expanded into Positive Behaviour Support.
The business is now entering a new phase of strategic growth, with plans to scale its proven model nationally, while maintaining tight control of service quality, participant outcomes, and operational profitability.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

This newly created role will play a critical part in leading the organisation’s shared services function and driving performance across its Partner-led network. It’s a hands-on executive position for someone who thrives on building scalable systems, leading operational teams, and coaching high-performing leaders.

  • Drive execution of strategy set by the board and CEO, aligning operational outcomes with group-level KPIs (profit, margin, funding performance)
  • Lead national Shared Services functions including quality, compliance, risk, and corporate support
  • Mentor and support Managing Partners across the network, embedding a high-performance and commercially accountable culture
  • Optimise core processes including funding utilisation, rostering, participant onboarding, and service cost control
  • Oversee funding integrity and ensure all new participants are onboarded with clear, sustainable care plans and funding allocations
  • Identify and remove bottlenecks, streamline workflows, and embed a continuous improvement mindset across the business

ABOUT YOU

  • 10+ years of operational leadership experience in disability services
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and improve P&L performance across service delivery teams
  • Deep understanding of NDIS funding, rostering, margins, and operational compliance
  • Proven experience improving gross margin and reducing leakage through systems and coaching
  • Hands-on leadership style with the ability to coach, mentor, and lead from the front
  • Brisbane-based (or willing to relocate with support provided); available on-site 4 days/week
  • Willing to travel occasionally (approx. 1 night/month) to support Managing Partners nationally

WHAT’S ON OFFER

  • Executive salary package (base + super), commensurate with experience
  • Annual bonus of up to $100,000 tied to business profit, gross margin, partner growth, and key operational metrics
