ABOUT THE ORGANISATION

Our client is a rapidly growing organisation with a national presence, operating across multiple locations in Australia. As they continue their expansion, they are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join their finance team on a 9-month contract to cover maternity leave.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

This role reports directly to the CFO and will play a key role in financial reporting, analysis, and compliance. The Financial Accountant will be responsible for:

• Month-end financial reporting, including profit & loss and balance sheet reconciliations
• Analysing financial data and providing insights across multiple business units
• Preparing weekly KPI reports to track performance
• Managing bank reconciliations and tax compliance, including GST, PAYG, and Payroll Tax
• Assisting with annual budget preparation and forecasting
• Supporting the preparation of statutory financial reports
• Collaborating with external auditors and ensuring compliance with industry regulations
• Providing financial analysis and operational support to key stakeholders

ABOUT YOU

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CA/CPA qualified or working towards certification
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within a multi-site or service-based industry
• Strong technical accounting knowledge with advanced Excel skills
• High attention to detail with the ability to interpret financial data and trends
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams
• Proactive, adaptable, and able to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
