About the Company:

Our client is a large, service‑driven organisation committed to delivering streamlined financial operations across a complex, multi‑site environment. As they continue to enhance their financial systems and processes, they are seeking a dedicated Finance Accountant to support their Financial Accounting Unit and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

You will also support Annual Accounts work cycles and provide leave coverage across the Financial Accounting Unit – offering excellent exposure and development opportunities in a high-performing finance team.

About the role:

Reporting to the Financial Manager, you will play a key support role across accounts receivable, financial systems, general ledger accuracy, and year‑end preparation. You’ll work hands‑on with core finance systems, collaborate with internal stakeholders, and contribute to the ongoing development of financial processes and Oracle applications.

• Support Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions.
• Contribute to system improvements and process efficiencies.
• Provide short‑term leave coverage for Financial Accountants and Assistant Accountants across the unit.
• Ensure accuracy of General Ledger accounts, raising discrepancies with Financial Systems and Audit teams.
• Assist with preparation of year‑end audit and financial information as required by senior finance leadership.pdf).
• Liaise with internal stakeholders, external service partners, and suppliers to resolve finance queries and maintain service continuity.

About You:

• A tertiary qualification in Accounting, with CA or CPA
• Experience with large accounting systems, ideally Oracle, plus advanced Excel skills.
• Demonstrated strength in reconciliations, variance analysis, and problem resolution.
• Ability to manage competing deadlines and work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment
• Experience processing high‑volume transactions with accuracy and independence.
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders
• A solid understanding of financial policies, accounting practices, and operational processes
