The Role

As Lead Data Engineer, you will mentor a high-calibre team of Data Engineers while partnering with senior stakeholders across the organisation. You’ll collaborate with C-Suite leaders, Solution Architects, Data Engineers, Data & AI Specialists whilst bringing your passion for technology and proactively sharing expertise.

Responsibilities

• Support and contribute to the design of engineering and architecture of the GCP platform
• Contribute to and implement data strategy to streamline data architecture across the group
• Drive architectural transformation projects that enhance business performance
• Mentor a high-calibre team of Data Engineers
• Partner with senior stakeholders to enhance new and existing data platforms
• Build advanced data and analytics solutions, including data integration, migration, profiling, metadata management, data quality, security, governance, and modelling

The Successful Candidate

• Minimum 5+ years’ experience as a Data Engineer
• Proven implementation and transformation of Cloud Technologies (GCP preferred; Azure / AWS also considered)
• You will have led, mentored and developed teams of Data Engineers
• Deep understanding of databases, data storage, and data movement tools, with ability to optimise development and align with best practices
