With a commitment to operational excellence and continuous improvement, they are currently expanding their payroll function due to increased workload. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly structured payroll team and contribute to a key system implementation project.
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
This is a temporary Payroll Officer position with full-time hours (35 hours per week) and the potential for permanency. You will play a key role in ensuring the seamless processing of payroll within a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Offering flexibility, this role can be performed in a hybrid capacity (2-3 days in office) or fully on-site based on your preference.
Key Responsibilities:
- End-to-end payroll processing for a large workforce
- Managing termination payments & ETPs
- Ensuring compliance with payroll policies and relevant legislation
- Processing various leave types, deductions, and adjustments
- Utilising HRIS payroll systems to maintain accurate records and reporting
- Responding to employee payroll queries and providing timely support
- Assisting in the implementation of a new payroll system
ABOUT YOU
To excel in this role, you will have:
- 5+ years’ experience in payroll within a large organisation
- Strong knowledge of payroll compliance, legislation, and awards
- Experience working with Microsoft Excel and payroll systems
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the payroll team
