The Role
As the Project Controls Lead, you will oversee a multidisciplinary team responsible for the full suite of project controls functions-schedule, cost, risk, contract, estimating, document control, and assurance.
- Lead the development and implementation of project controls frameworks, systems, and processes
- Manage project schedule, cost forecasting, risk registers, and contract performance
- Oversee governance, assurance, and reporting cycles to support executive decision-making
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance and alignment
- Provide strategic advice and insights to project leadership on emerging risks and performance
- Build and lead a high-performing team of 7-10 specialists across project controls disciplines
- Promote capability uplift and continuous improvement across all project workstreams
- Ensure effective communication and coordination across the organisation and external partners
About You
You’re a seasoned project controls professional with a passion for infrastructure and a track record of delivering results in complex environments. You bring strategic thinking, technical depth, and strong leadership to every challenge.
- Tertiary qualifications in engineering, project management, or a related discipline
- Between 8 – 10+ years’ experience in project controls leadership on infrastructure projects
- Proven ability to lead integrated, multidisciplinary teams and manage diverse stakeholders
- Strong understanding of public sector governance, regulatory frameworks, and reporting standards
- Expertise in cost estimation, scheduling, risk management, and contract oversight
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
