Role Title: Project Support Officer
Duration: 10/09/2024 to 09/09/2025
Pay Rate: $55/hour + super (MAX RATE)
Working Hours: 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week
Work Location: Parramatta

About the Opportunity:

Our client, a prominent government organisation, is looking for a detail-oriented Project Support Officer to join their team. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to various projects and support the team in delivering high-quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and internal staff to facilitate site investigations, design phases, and project approvals.
  • Assist senior project officers in managing financial processes, including creating vendors, raising purchase orders, and processing invoices accurately.
  • Prepare detailed financial reports on project activities to ensure transparency and successful milestone delivery.
  • Provide executive support, including scheduling meetings, coordinating travel, and organizing conferences.
  • Handle general administrative tasks such as drafting correspondence, maintaining registers, and preparing reports.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and build positive relationships with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and consultants.
  • Ensure procurement activities adhere to departmental policies and deliver value for money.
  • Conduct research on property industry trends and prepare advice to support informed property decisions.
  • Order and review valuation reports and property certificates to aid in redevelopment decisions.

About You:

  • Strong experience in project support or similar administrative roles.
  • Proven ability to manage financial processes and produce accurate reports.
  • Excellent organizational skills with experience in coordinating executive support functions.
  • High-level customer service skills and ability to maintain positive stakeholder relationships.
  • Understanding of procurement policies and property industry research.
  • Proficiency in relevant financial systems and administrative tools.
