This is a key role in a multi-disciplinary team driving the bank’s transition from a legacy Hadoop/Cloudera platform to a modern AWS-based data platform. You’ll work closely with data engineers, architects, and cloud specialists to support scalable, secure, and automated infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage, maintain, and evolve cloud infrastructure on AWS
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and testing
• Build and support Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation
• Collaborate with the Data Engineering team to support data pipeline delivery
• Assist in the migration from Cloudera/Hadoop to AWS-native services (e.g., S3, EMR, Glue, Redshift, Lambda)
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting across the cloud environment
• Support platform security, compliance, and cost optimisation in line with financial services standards
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues across dev, test, and prod environments

Your Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or Cloud Engineer in enterprise environments
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, EMR, Glue, CloudWatch, IAM, VPC)
• Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash)
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, AWS CodePipeline, etc.)
• Proficiency in IaC tools – Terraform preferred
• Experience supporting big data platforms or working with data engineering teams
• Exposure to Hadoop/Cloudera environments and understanding of migration challenges
• Familiarity with cloud security and compliance in the banking/financial sector is highly desirable
