ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Working across the company’s West Coast sub-surface Operations, as a Senior Geophysicist you will be responsible for the planning, delivery and analysis of a range of sub-surface geophysical surveys. Closely collaborating with internal and external project teams, you will perform a varied and crucial role within the business, with responsibiltiies included but not limited to:
- Planning, conducting and managing Geophysical surveys, such as GPR, MASW, Seismic Refraction, Passive Seismic (ReMi, HVSR), VES and FEM
- Collating, analysing and presenting varied data sets to clients and project stakeholders whilst utilising tools such as: SurfSeis, Geolitix / IQMaps, REFRACT / RAYFRACT, RES2DINV and/or Seequent LeapFrog
- Managing the financial and technical requirements of projects in line with pre-set objectives
- Providing training, assistance and mentoring to other staff and project members
- Building business-critical relationships and identifying new business opportunities
- Act as an SME and Senior representative of MNG across West Coast geophysical operations
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this Geophysicist role, you should have:
- A bachelor’s degree in science, majoring in Geophysics or Geology
- A minimum of 3 years of independent field-based surveying and data analysis experience
- Expertise across sub-spatial Seismic, GPR and other geophysical surveying techniques
- Proficiency in technical report writing and the delivery of project findings to key stakeholders
- An interest in developing both technical and project management skills
- A current driver’s license and valid working rights in Australia
