About the role

  • Manage a wide exposure to a variety of business services and tax issues within a growing team.
  • Play an integral role in deliverables for clients and the team through strong communication and ethical standards.
  • Execute high-level technical work in Australian tax and accounting compliance.
  • Perform reviews of accounting and taxation work prepared by other team members (for Senior level).
  • Review email communications, including queries and advice, to be sent to Australian advisers.
  • Utilize business skills to assist with cashflow planning, budgeting, and the analysis of management accounts.
  • Apply exceptional time and project management skills to ensure quality service delivery.
  • Maintain proactive involvement in the technical development of both yourself and the wider team.
  • Ensure strict adherence to firm systems and procedures regarding file management and security.

About you

  • 3-5+ years of related experience, ideally working for an Australian accounting practice.
  • CPA or CA qualified, or currently close to completing these studies.
  • Excellent technical skills in Australian tax and accounting compliance.
  • Proficiency in cloud-based systems, specifically Xero and XeroTax.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a high level of personal maturity.
  • Proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities to improve service quality.
  • A self-starter who enjoys challenging work and is seeking ongoing professional development.
  • Experience in reviewing the work of others is required for those entering at a Senior level.
